Yes. A jetted tub, the kind a lot of people call a Jacuzzi, comes out with its deck and its pump, and the space it took goes to the new shower. Old jetted tubs are a common source of slow leaks, so we check the framing under yours once it's out.
What about a liner or an acrylic insert over the tub?
We don't install them. A tiled shower on a proper pan is what we build, and it's what lasts in a room that sees water every day.
