The Project
This started as a request for more usable space and became a full rework of a primary suite in Mansfield: the closet, the bathroom, and the laundry room beside them. The homeowners came to us by referral from their next-door neighbor, who happens to be one of our real estate Guides.
The closet went first. It had been a long, hallway-like closet; it became a fitted wardrobe room with the laundry units moved inside it. Shifting the closet entry slightly opened up a better bathroom plan, so we reworked the vanity and straightened the path from bedroom to bath to closet. With the washer and dryer relocated, the old laundry room was free to become a real mudroom.
The finishes are timeless and bold. Cabinetry in Sherwin-Williams Indigo Batik, white quartz counters, satin brushed nickel hardware, and Brizo fixtures with gemstone-accented levers. White subway tile in a brick lay meets blue subway in a herringbone pattern, with 12-by-24 floor tile and a marble deco shower pan. Oak flooring runs through the bedroom and closet, a blue grasscloth accent wall sits behind the bed, and a capiz semi-flush fixture lights the closet. Our team handled full-service design, custom layout and cabinetry, finish specification, construction management, and the closet system.
